The Main Street Program is coordinated by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and is designed to organize activities within downtown Hampton to promote revitalization. This program aids with the development of the city’s core commercial areas.

The Main Street Program works closely with the Hampton Downtown Development Authority and the Hampton Historic Preservation Commission in developing action plans for the revitalization of the city.

Our Main Street Director is Ms. Kc Krizic and she can be contacted by email at

The Main Street Program consists of four committees with one vision; Hampton’s Historic Business District is the heart of the community, where unique and exciting businesses flourish through Historic Preservation and the past has a future. This is accomplished by focusing on design, promotions, economic growth, and sustainability.

The mission of the Main Street Hampton Program is to preserve and enhance the historic charm and integrity of the community and to reinforce the downtown as the heartbeat of the community utilizing the 4 - Point Approach of the National Main Street Program.

Design Committee: Our mission is to create an inviting, aesthetically appealing and safe Main Street Program area environment.

Promotions Committee: Our goal is to provide Hampton with the ultimate experience through awesome festivals, arts, entertainment and value for our residents and visitors.

Economic Vitality Committee: Our mission is to convert empty spaces into productive property, to help stimulate downtown growth through increased business retention and expansion.

Organization: Our Board of Directors leads the Main Street mission to revitalize downtown through programs, events, and initiatives that seek to increase our quality of life, support small business, encourage tourism, preserve our historic assets, and so much more.

The Main Street Hampton Advisory Board is a group of passionate individuals who work hard and dream big about the future of our community.

Members of the Main Street Advisory Board have the responsibility of leading our organization, serving on a committee, supporting fundraising efforts, volunteering at events, celebrating our accomplishments, and problem-solving obstacles we may face along the way.

If you are interested in joining our board please contact Andrew Simpson at asimpson@hamptonga,gov

Each member of our Board is guided by a different passion and brings a different set of skills to the table; our diversity is what makes our Board work.

Volunteers are the driving force of the Main Street Program. If you are interested in joining us please contact Andrew Simpson at
