Waste Pro

The City of Hampton contracts their garbage services through Waste Pro. All garbage pickup, regular household garbage and bulk items, will be done on a scheduled basis. Trash pickup will start as early as 6 a.m., it is recommended that you have your trash containers placed by the curb on the evening before your scheduled pickup day. You will see a charge of $14.00 on your Utility Bill for Garbage Services. There will be an $8.00 charge for any additional container requested.

Bulk Items

Citizens are asked to call Customer Service, if they have bulk items to be picked up. A fee of $15.00 per trip will be charged for bulk items, which will be added to your utility bill the following month. Bulk items are described as large items which cannot be reasonably placed inside a 95 gallon container. Examples of bulk items include, but are not limited to, furniture, appliances etc. (Appliances should be empty of all foods, liquids and Freon, with doors removed). The maximum amount of bulk items to be collected weekly shall be no more than two (2) bulk items up to 3 cubic yards. Bulk items DO NOT include any remodel/construction debris, tires, hazardous material, or mattresses. The call for bulk pick up must be made to Customer Service at 770-946-4306, no later than Friday at 11:00 a.m. and placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on Mondays.

Commercial Accounts

Commercial locations will receive two (2) garbage pickups per week, at a cost of $22.41 (per business, per month). If an additional container is needed there will be an $8.00 charge. 

Note: No call is needed for regular household garbage pickups.

Yard Debris

The City of Hampton is responsible for the pickup of yard debris. Yard debris will be picked up on the East side of the City on Monday and the West side on Tuesday.

Limbs are to be no longer than 4 feet in length, no wider than 2 inches. Any loose debris (grass, leaves etc.) are to be put in Bio-degradable bags, if not it will not be picked up. Yard Debris Schedule


Recycling services are now being offered at a cost of $6.75 per month. This service is completely optional and will be collected on a biweekly basis, Monday thru Friday, by service zones. Containers must be placed at the curb no later than 6:00 a.m. on your collection day. For further information please refer to Waste Pro Transition Guidelines link above.
